Prune is a disk space scanner and cleaner for AI and developer workflows. It finds the 20–100 GB that Ollama, Hugging Face, and dev tools quietly hoard — and shows exactly how much you'd get back before you pay a cent.
The scan is free forever. Prune Pro unlocks detailed file lists and cleaning — and nothing is ever removed without your explicit approval.
### Knows AI junk by name
Finds Hugging Face caches, Ollama models, pip and conda leftovers, plus Xcode DerivedData, npm, CocoaPods, and IDE caches — categorized so you know exactly what's safe to clear. It also sweeps everyday clutter: system caches and logs, browser and app leftovers, uninstalled app residue, and forgotten large files.
### See your number before you pay
One click checks caches, logs, and AI app data across six categories. Every category gets an exact size, not a vague estimate — so you know what's eating your disk before you decide anything.
### Nothing deleted blind
Drill into individual files and cache folders, check what to remove — nothing is deleted until you hit Clean Selected. Active projects with `.git` or `node_modules` are skipped by default. Deletions stay inside your user folder.
### Your data stays local
No file path metadata ever leaves your machine. Prune runs entirely on your Windows PC (macOS waitlist open) — nothing is uploaded for analysis.
### Typical reclaim
- `~/.ollama/models` — 5–40 GB
- `~/.cache/huggingface` — 10–50 GB
- pip & conda caches — 5–15 GB
- Xcode DerivedData — 10–30 GB
- AI desktop app caches — 2–10 GB
- npm, CocoaPods & IDE caches — 3–12 GB
Windows 10+ available now. macOS version under development — join the waitlist on the product site.
